Chemonics International, a leading international organization based in Washington, D.C., seeks candidates for the anticipated USAID Ghana Fiscal Accountability Strengthening Activity (FASA). The activity will work with the Government of Ghana to promote the transparent, accountable, and inclusive management of public finances at the national and subnational levels, with a focus on achieving higher quality, more responsive public sector service delivery..We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Job Summary
• The Chief of Party (COP) will be responsible for the overall management and implementation of the project.
• S/he will supervise project implementation and ensure the project meets stated goals and reporting requirements.
• The proposed COP will ensure an integrated vision among different components, actors, and partners of the project with a focus on achieving results.
• S/he will manage the quality and accuracy of project deliverables and oversee programmatic direction.
• The proposed COP will oversee project leadership, including supervising lead technical and operational staff.
Qualification Required & Experience
• B.A./B.S. in financial services with ten years of senior level management experience in the design, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of activities of a similar size and complexity.
• Technical expertise in public financial management, public service delivery, and fiscal decentralization highly preferred.
• Skillful in high-level strategic leadership and effective stakeholder management, with experience successfully building and maintain relationships with project counterparts, particularly senior-level officials from the government, private sector, and civil society.
• Experience serving as USAID Chief of Party or other management experience for donor efforts of similar scope, size, and complexity required.
• Candidates with experience working in public financial management in Ghana and/or West Africa preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity.
• Fluency in English required.
