2023 BECE Results, Are the BECE 2023 results out? Currently, this is the man concern for many Ghanaians. The most affected are the students who sat for the examination and are waiting with bated breaths for the results. Their future in the Senior High School solely depends on their performance in the BECE exams.

The BECE examination is used to accredit successful candidates who sat for it with certificates to advance from Junior High School to Senior High School. In Ghana, it is a tradition for the BECE Exam to be dished out annually in the month of June.

When are the BECE 2023 results release dates?

The 2022/2023 BECE results release dates are scheduled to be on the 19th January, 2023. So, all those wondering; are the BECE results in, should calm down and for those still wondering when are the BECE results coming out, they should be ready by September.

The latest results of the BECE exams were released last year 2022 by WAEC. This included the results of Junior High School students who sat for the BECE exams back in 2022. This included 468,060 candidates who sat for the examination of which 241,145 were males while 226,906 were females.

Having answered your concerns on; are the BECE 2022/2023 results out, it is important to know the procedure of which students undertake to check results. The WAEC has put up a simple way to help the candidates access their results.

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Integrated Sciences
  • Social Studies
  • Religious and Moral Education
  • Social Studies
  • French
  • Ghanaian Language
  • Basic Design and Technology
  • Information Communication Technology.

BECE result checker

Here is a step by step guide to help students check BECE results 2023. It is mandatory for all students to purchase a scratch card that contains a Personal Information Number (PIN) and a serial number. The scratch cards are available in the various recognized banks, posters, authorized dealers and in the WAEC offices spread across Ghana.

Once you have the scratch card, you can launch the internet browser on your device. You can use alternatively any of the following browsers; Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.

After launching the browser, type in WAEC’s official site in the address bar. You will automatically be directed to the main page of the WAEC site. Scroll down the main menu bar into the BECE results options.

Once you have clicked the option, enter the details of your personal information. This includes your examination number. Select the type of examination which you sat for. In this instance, you will select the BECE examination option.

Select the year of examination which you sat for. Next you will be required to enter the details of your scratch card number. The details include the12-digits PIN and the serial number which is usually at the back of the scratch card.

Confirm the details of the information you have provided to ensure they are correct to avoid instances where you can’t log in. If you have counterchecked and ensured the information is correct, click on submit and wait for the pop-up display icon on the window. This will take several minutes.

BECE result for JSS 3

The BECE junior WAEC exam usually takes place annually on the month of April. Below is the procedure of the BECE 2023 results checker for junior WAEC results:

Just like the scratch card is mandatory for checking the BECE results, it is mandatory to purchase the NECO result cards at the nearest NECO office. The NECO results cards contain a PIN and a serial number.

Using an appropriate browser, access the NECO 2023 Result Checking Page. You will be redirected to the main page of the site. Scroll down the main menu under the type of examination and select JSS3.

Enter the details of the exam year. Scratch the back of the NECO result card and enter the PIN. Finally, conclude by adding your examination number. Go through the details to check if they are correct to avoid complications during log in. If they are correct you can proceed to click the check my result option.

Ghana BECE 2023 certificate

Despite the online results being released in September, the certificates are provided to successful candidates within 30 days of BECE results announcement date. They are automatically sent to the respective schools of the candidates where they can be individually collected. They are only produced once and in case of damages or loss, they cannot be replaced.

BECE results placement

The education service requires students to collect the certificates from their respective schools. WAEC employs a computerized school selection and placement system (CSSPS) which places students in different Senior High Schools and technical institutions around Ghana.

CSSPS provides a categorized system that places different students based on their performance in different clusters for different Senior High Schools, technical institutions and vocational institutions.

Students can receive details of their school placement straight to their phones. All successful candidates can send a text message with their 10-digit index number to the short code 1060. You will receive a confirmation message from WAEC with the school you have been placed to attend. Do not space the code containing the index number.

BECE 2023 school placement system

If the first method fails to work, add the two digits of the year of the examination to the index number. In this instance, you will add 18 to the index number. Students are urged to keep trying sending the message since there exists complications especially when many students send the message at the same time.

Students experiencing serious problems in receiving their placement details are advised to reach the following hotline number 0302 747 778 or WhatsApp 0207 407 499 to receive further assistance.

 

In case this passed you, you can always apply for the second batch of BECE placement. You will have to visit the back up link. Avail details of your index number and PIN behind the scratch card.

Choose the placement status on the main menu. The system will automatically provide you with a link for self-placement. When you click on the self-placement link, you will select your preferred region. You will also choose your preferred school and program. Finally, you will click on the submit option. Your placement details will be sent to WAEC where it will be analyzed and a response sent directly to your email address.
